#1. Behind the Scenes

Take your followers behind the scenes and show them what prepping for a message looks like, how you get ready for a TV interview, or the things you do to get ready for a family event. People love the inside scoop on your life as a pastor, leader, or business person. This type of content helps humanize you as a person and gives people a glimpse into how you do what you do! 

#2. A Day In the Life

Give your followers a sneak peak into your day-to-day life. Mix it up and create some that highlight what a normal day at the office, a crazy travel day, or a regular day at home looks like. This form of content helps your audience connect with you personally, provides inspiration, and can serve as educational or entertainment-oriented content. This reel could be video clips highlighting your day with a trending audio in the background, or you can create a reel (selfie style or filmed by someone on your team) actually explaining your day to your audience. You may feel awkward at first, but people who follow you want to know what you’re up to!

#3. Educate Your Audience 

While social media platforms have provide a plethora of entertainment-oriented content, educational content has become an increasingly effective strategy.  Create a reel this week that educates your audience on something you know or on something you want them to know. This type of content is for their benefit – it serves them in some area of their life (spiritually, physically, emotionally, etc). For example, if last weekend you preached a message about controlling your thoughts, create a reel that highlights 3 key scriptures that your followers can use when they are struggling to control the battle in their minds (ex: 2 Corinthians 10:5; Philippians 4:8, Romans 12:2). This reel inspires them spiritually, educates them biblically, helps them emotionally, and corrects them mentally – all of which add value to the person watching.
